Hailing from Egypt, Massar Egbari (which means “compulsory detour”) combine oriental and western forms in their fusion style. There is a clear rock sensibility to their music, but this belies a dusky tone to their lyrics, which tackle social issues arising in these challenging times in Egypt. Their style and lyrics had a great impact on the indie music scene. Winners of many awards and bestowed the title of “Artists for Intercultural Dialogue” by UNESCO in 2010, Massar Egbari has toured in Europe, Asia, Africa, America and the Middle East.
Massar Egbari will be live in Montreal ! Are you ready ?
